Includes unlimited streaming via the free Bandcamp app, plus high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more.

For those that decide to support me and download the album you will find two tracks that originally outlined the full release. The first is a grooving yet ominous instrumental introduction to set the pallet of the production featuring poppy driving guitar, fizzed out delayed synth and a long crash to the finish.

The second is a six and a half minute ghostly lofi outro suggesting an alternate ending to an otherwise sure fire resolution. The instruments and vocals are buried in a layer of warm hiss and sparing dynamics that struggle to cut through the fog. Gonna have to turn this one up on some speakers to fully experience it.

Money doesn't determine worth Don't let them tell you otherwise Who cares if people like it There's no value in their eyes It doesn't have to appear on a screen Don't let them feed common lies These ideas are cruel and mean It's all black or white and unwise Well you can make it if you want to Don't let them police your time There's no more room for these conversations I'll give you my piece of mind You Don't Have To Sell It You can tell em I toss my paint on the floor You can tell em I only play one chord You can tell em dancing is for everyone and you can tell em that they're no fun Well I've had it with the message Ive got a lesson They've gotta listen Well you can make it if you want to. Don't let them police your time There's no more room for these conversations I'll give you my piece of mind. You Don't Have to Sell It.

"Oh come with me, please I'm Obsessed with the sound in the whole raft of themes. A duller scheme more complex, a few deep breaths Hands out to the fiends. It's in the sound They cause us to feel It's in the sound Oh come with me, please I'm Obsessed with the sound in the whole raft of themes. A duller scheme more complex, a few deep breaths Hands out to the fiends."

My real work she says Stretch out their dampest secrets I'm like a stranger and I think that I should leave Well if you go away I'll look for you everywhere Folks come together Don't get how it's done So used to mumbling In the company of one You can't find love When ya head a'int right Well if you go away I'll look for you everywhere.

We fell silent Burned out Panning Scene after another A curious combination Half the minds Let go of reason And I learn When I get the urge Ya I get the urge For a second I think it's deceased It took nights to know To lay in shock But it's slipping Swinging back And I learn When I get the urge Ya I get the Urge

Sometimes, I think I dreamed it This denial gave an added appeal For a long time, no one agreed The passage of time becomes unclear and of all the kinds of time Available here I tend to lose track Of the kind I'm using Two Trains and ones not real The signal turns funk The signal turns funk People are tapping their own telephones The more they pay the more their alone Looking out now, I prefer it at home But that's alright, ya we're alright Liking Machines, Hating Machines Rarely falling in between Hard to be unhappy when given something to believe The signal turns funk The signal turns funk

Let the horizon be Soon the day with end We can turn off the lights Tomorrow Know a little bit About The world And forget what comes after In these modern times Shouldn't we turn off the lights? Join in now, it's all about looking Tomorrow, Tomorrow Life is useless As tears Life is joyous as laughter Life is useless As tears Life is joyous as laughter

about

This is an album about recovery and reconnection in the midst of ongoing isolation and PTSD. The struggles of self worth and taboo ideation are ever present but not without continual glimpses into a new lens that offers a path to compassion.
Bringing back guitar and songwriting roots clashing with some Moog synth and old drum machine sounds which are accompanied by my collection of tape loops and vinyl samples from the plunderphonic explorations of last year, "Generics" has been inspired by the sounds of a would be DJ Uncle that witnessed the final hours of his brothers life, The collection of vinyl once belonging to my mother and late father, A playlist played again and again by a mentor and great friend at the NOLA Community Darkroom where much time was spent over the years, A recently found cousin making tunes that hit my heart, and the spark to return to the six strings from a new friend this year.

Generics was written and recorded by Garrett DeBell at his home studio "The Cubicle"

Tracks 1-7 were recorded to a Tascam 32 1/4" Tape Machine.
The hidden 8th comes off a Tascam Portastudio 424 MKII Cassette Deck.
